Port of Vancouver, Canada

Docking at the Port of Vancouver marked the end of the cruise and the start of the journey home. I had never been to Canada before, and one of the things that I found interesting was an obvious effort to make the dense city more “green” with gardens and trees growing on the tops of many buildings.

Our time in Vancouver was short, consisting of waiting for the ship to dock, filing off according to our disembarkation group, finding our luggage, a bus ride from the port to the airport, trying to understand the luggage-tag kiosk, weighing and checking luggage (just made it under the max weight!), customs, and waiting for our flight. I wish I would have taken more photos, but once it was time to leave the ship, the camera went into the carry-on, and there it stayed until we got home.

You may be wondering why I’ve included the last photo. It’s pretty boring but I can’t stop wondering about the fate of the third seagull.
