Dried Roses

I usually post a photography book review on Saturday mornings, but not today.

Valentine’s Day has come and gone, and I rescued these roses just as they were about to make their way into the waste bin. There is still a lot of beauty left in them.

Determined to make the most of their color, I matched them with an amber glass vase that once belonged to my grandmother. In addition to the muted reflection, you can just see the vase’s faint outline in the photo above. I think it makes a stunning image.
