The Theater

I’m in the middle of culling and editing around 2500 photos I took last weekend during a nearly 3-hour-long production of Something Rotten performed by Wylie Actor’s Group (WAG), our local community acting group. While the editing process is still underway, I thought I’d post a couple of my favorite individual photos from the shoot. Both of these young ladies put on fantastic performances (from left to right: Maggie and Rose).

The first photo above is a still from the performance that reminded me of a classic theater or early silent movie still. The second photo was a candid I took backstage during intermission.

When I finally finish the edit, the vast majority of photos will be in color, so these are not representative of the whole. I will post a selection of the final set here, on my website. There were a number of challenges shooting a theatre production, the constant lighting changes only being one of them, but I enjoyed it and am thankful to WAG for the learning opportunity.
