Oregon - Corvallis Farmer’s Market and the Coast
My wife, daughter, and I spent a nice extended weekend in Oregon visiting OSU. On the Saturday after the visit, we spent the day eating a great breakfast at Le Patissier, perusing the local farmer’s market, driving the Mary Peak to Pacific Scenic Byway, and exploring the tidepools along the coast.
Corvallis Farmer’s Market
A post-breakfast trip to the local farmer’s market delighted us with the sights and smells of local produce and baked goods. The early morning light and long shadows helped accentuate the bright red, orange, and yellow hues! Before we left, we bagged some goodies for lunch as we headed out on the scenic bypass towards the coast.
The Oregon Coast
Oregon is a beautiful state and we will certainly return. However, having only a few hours to visit the coast, we had to be selective in where we could spend our time. We chose to explore Devil’s Churn and nearby tidepools where we could experience sea enanames, clams, muscles, shore crabs, and starfish on the sharp and craggy beaches of volcanic rock.
